How battery detection works.
This tool uses the Web Battery Status API (navigator.getBattery()) to read your battery level, charging status, and estimated times from the operating system.
For full battery health analysis including cycle count and design capacity, use your OS's built-in tools: System Information on macOS, powercfg /batteryreport on Windows, or battery apps on Android.
FAQ
Common questions.
The Battery Status API is not supported in all browsers. Chrome on desktop removed it for privacy, and iOS Safari doesn't expose it. If you're using one of these, battery info won't be available.
The battery percentage comes directly from the operating system via the browser's Battery API. It should match what you see in your OS battery indicator.
Discharge time is the estimated time remaining on your current charge. It's calculated by the operating system based on your current power usage and battery level.
Unfortunately, browsers do not expose battery health or cycle count information — that data is only available through OS-level tools or the battery management software on your device.
